Tshwane Mayor, Kgosientso Ramokgopa at Hammanskraal Mandela Square today

Tshwane Mayor, Kgosientso Ramokgopa will today visit Mandela Square in Hammanskraal at 12:00 and then proceed to TLC Orphanage House and Tshwaraganang Old Age Home wherein he will be distributing toys and food parcels.

This is part of the Mayor’s Christmas With Our People programme of spreading the season’s good wishes amongst Tshwane residents. “Christmas is a time to celebrate successes and friendships, but also to think about those not so fortunate. We must continue to look out for our neighbours, especially those who are sick or elderly, and to speak up for children who are at risk. The holiday season is also a time when we are particularly grateful to those who cannot take time off with their families because they are taking care of all of us, including medical staff, the police and the fire service. These extraordinary people are not concerned with recognition or reward and they deserve to be given credit by all,” said Mayor Ramokgopa.

The Mayor will also take time to visit Christmas Day babies at Dark City Clinic in Bronkhorstspruit; Jubilee Hospital in Temba and Day Hospital in Mamelodi and hand over baby hampers on 25 December.

– Region 4 Olievenhoutbosch School/Park: 28 December
– Region 3 Atteridgeville, Moroe Park: 29 December
– Region 7 Zithobeni Ext 1 Park: 30 December
– Region 5 Cullinan: 30 December

Mayoral Spoikesperson, Mr Blessing Manale said the Mayor will also visit babies born on 1 January 2016 at the George Mukhari, Steve Biko, Kalafong and Pretoria West hospital.
