Gospel singer, Sarah Maboa, was born and raised in Marokolong and says she wants to make a difference for the elderly, orphans and people living with disability.

She is currently living with three people with disability in her house and that is why she wants to do something special for the elderly and the disabled.

She will be hosting a gospel show event on 14 May 2017 in Hammanskraal, at Marokolong community Hall on benefit of the needy.

Oupa Legodi, a partner, is also involved in the organizing of the show.

The event is set to raise awareness to the community of Marokolong about the plight of the elderly people, orphans and disabled people. “We want to remind the community about the importance of people regardless of their conditions,” she said.

The event is made possible through donations and so far Fruit and Veg Market has made donations and the organizers are waiting for responses from other businesses.

“Our main aim is to be able to buy face cloths for the elderly and disabled and with winter knocking at the door, we want to buy socks for school children,” she said.

The event will start at 11:00 on 14 May 2017 at Marokolong community Hall and will last till late.
