City of Tshwane continue to fail Tambo community, still no garbage collection

The community of Tambo in Temba is in a desperate situation due to the failure of City of Tshwane failure to collect garbage.

The community has resorted to emptying their garbage at spaces available in their areas because they cannot keep full and smelly dustbins in their homes.

“We are not proud of polluting our own environment but we have no option but to empty our garbage bins in available spaces,” said a resident of Tambo, Mr Samuel Matlala.

The Municipality has failed to keep its promise to resume services in the area even after making numerous promises to remedy the situation in the Hammanskraal area.

Numerous emails sent to Mr Godfrey Mnguni of Tshwane Municipality in region 2 yielded no responses.
