Thabiso Sekei and Aron Mabokela from Temba Hammanskraal in unit 7 have started a business of cleaning garbage bins to earn themselves a living.
The business started four years ago as an idea from Thabiso Sekei to make extra money but has grown bigger and earns them at least a monthly living income.
“We clean dustbins every Saturdays and we charge R60 every month for a single dustbin, we do this to earn ourselves extra money because it’s hard to find employment these days” said Mr Sekei said.
Mr Mabokela said the business has helped him a lot since he has started, “At least now I can get little income for myself and I can take care of myself without asking from anyone.”
Mrs Marry Nkuna, a resident and beneficiary from the service said she is happy they are doing something for themselves, “I will continue to support them because they are not stealing from anyone, they had an idea and implemented it and I am satisfied with their service”
These two men urged the community to support them, they have more than 60 dustbins now and they are hoping to receive more and expand their business.
