Visionary and ambitious young man, Mogomotsi Maphuta (22), and the youth motion group held their very first Dark Mzansi Drama play at Chipile Chipile Tavern in Dirtig on Saturday 15 July.
Mr Mogomotsi Maphuta helps to keep disadvantaged young kids from the age of eight to 13 away from the streets of Dirtig and give them a purpose through art.
Love and passion for art is what kept Mr Maphuta going “ I love Art, it has been my passion since i was young, so I thought I should impart it to others and what I see in these kids is nothing but talent and a bright future ahead.”
Owner of Chipile Chipile, who offered the venue, Mr Simon Maphuta, applauded the work that young Mogomotsi is doing. “It is very pleasing to see a young person doing things for the community, he helps these kids to discover their dreams and talent and for me he deserve to be applauded.”
A resident who attended the event, Ms Tshepo Seposwane, said she is happy that there are still young person who does such a great thing for the community. She said she will encourage her kids to join and tell other parents about Youth Motion.

Although the response from the community is positive and overwhelming, Mogomotsi still struggles to get a sponsor to keep his dream alive.
