The Temba Heritage Route Launch

The launch of the new Temba Heritage Route will be officially opened with the hosting of the Inaugural Temba Heritage Race which will incorporate a 21km half marathon, 10km run and 5km family fun walk.

The three-in-one events will be run through the new blue and red heritage routes from the Jubilee Mall and SAPS Academy Precinct to the Temba Stadium and Sebothoma Community Hall.

As part of the Temba Heritage Week the following events will be hosted by the Temba Heritage Project:

• 13-20 September 2019: Temba Heritage Film Festival
• 20-24 September 2019: Temba Heritage Football Cup Series
• 21 September 2019: Temba Heritage Marathon Race
• 21 September 2019: Temba Heritage Gala Dinner and Awards
• 22 September 2019: Temba Inter-Faith Service
• 22 September 2019: Temba Heritage Family Day and Kiddies Festival
• 23 September 2019: Temba Heritage Music Festival
• 24 September 2019: Temba Heritage Cup Series Finals

The Temba community is to be part of the Temba Heritage Route Launch which incorporates the Dinokeng Game Reserve, Kekana Gardens, Rens Town and Mandela Village as the tour destinations that will connect with the Temba Heritage Route from the Hammanskraal Bridge into the SAPS Academy and the Jubilee Mall.

The business community also has an opportunity to partner on the project on the 63 sites identified below including on the sporting events and gala dinner mentioned above.
