Today, 29 June 2019, MMC responsible for Housing and Human Settlement at the City of Tshwane, Mandla Nkomo, handed over more than 500 title deeds to beneficiaries at New Eersterust in Hammanskraal.
Some of the beneficiaries were 89 year old Mme Johanna Mashaba and 93 year old Matsatsi Mpete who received their title deeds from MMC Nkomo.
Amongst the beneficiaries were also four senior citizens who are aged over 90 years with the oldest being a 111-year old granny.
Senior citizens gathered at Ramabele Secondary School to receive title deeds from the MMC who addressed them during the event.
Lindela Mashigo, Acting Divisional Head Strategic Communication at the City of Tshwane, said these senior citizens are part of the more than 55-thousand population which constitutes the over 7 000 households of New Eersterust Proper and New Eersterust Extensions 1 to 7.
