Sisters with Dreams, a Non-Governmental Organization established in 2016 that has recently adopted Selang Primary School in Leboneng near Temba, Hammanskraal.
The Sisters with Dreams founder, Ms Kealeboga Nkuna(27), said that they are looking for sponsorship to feed underprivileged families, clean school facilities, empower youth, mentor young girls and help the community of Hammanskraal to deal with social ills and poverty.
Ms Nkuna said, “the reason the NPO chose Selang Primary is because of its condition, it needs attention on things like classes, sports grounds, Kitchen, water supply, assembly point, parking, library offices, staff rooms, toilets, computer lab and Vegetable garden.
“If we can get the sponsorship we will be able to feed and clothe the disadvantage children and run our mentor a girl child program. We will also be able to build up the community group, clean up Selang Primary School and conduct more outreach programs.
Ms Nkuna said her passion to help the needy is driven by her difficult upbringing without a mother and a mother figure in her life.
“Growing without a mother has affected me a lot to a point that I lost self-esteem and confidence, however, I have not allowed my background to determine my future and I want to be an example to other girls,” said Ms Nkuna.
