MADIBENG – Fifteen football coaches from the Madibeng Local Municipality have successfully completed the Confederation of African Football (CAF) C Licence coaching programme, marking an important step towards improving grassroots football development in the region.
The programme, funded by De Wildt Solar, equipped local coaches with internationally recognised coaching knowledge and practical skills to nurture young footballers and raise coaching standards within their communities.
The newly qualified coaches are expected to play a vital role in identifying and developing local talent while promoting structured coaching methods at schools and community football clubs.
The CAF C Licence is one of the continent’s recognised coaching qualifications and focuses on player development, coaching methodology, match preparation and creating safe, positive learning environments for young athletes.
The initiative forms part of De Wildt Solar’s commitment to investing in community development through sport, creating opportunities for aspiring coaches while strengthening football structures in the Madibeng area.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony, organisers congratulated the coaches on their achievement and encouraged them to use their new knowledge to mentor the next generation of footballers.
