Officers arrested five males aged between 30 and 40 in Hammanskraal for alleged possession of dagga worth half a million in Hammanskraal yesterday following a tip off about a drug house in Temba. The police found 15 plastic bags and one very large plastic bag all containing dagga buried in the garden. The dagga found is valued at R512, 500. 00 and weighed 20.5KG.
R5900.00 drug money was also seized. The five suspects were arrested and detained at Temba police station and the dagga and money was also booked in. The suspects will appear in court soon. Tshwane Metro Police Department Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba, said the Department is very proud of the Tshwane Metro Police Anti-drug unit which continuously show dedication to their work. “The Tshwane Metro Police Department will continue to fight the drug problem in our society,” he said.
