RAMOTSE- My Home Foundation, a non-profit making organization based in Ga-Ramotse village in Hammanskraal has called on professionals to support their initiatives by ploughing back to the community.
The Ramotse My Home Foundation (RMHF) Head of Media and Communications, Ms Amaleah Mbewe, said there are four categories that community members and business people can get involved to assist the foundation. Professionals such as doctors, lawyers and teachers can volunteer their professional services. Donations such as food, clothing, toys, blankets and money for operation are accepted. Members of the community can also fundraise on behalf of the foundation and they can chose one of the annual events to sponsor.
To date, the Foundation has painted 14 classrooms at Lebelo Primary School and donated paint and rollers to the school through the help of FS Shuttle Service Company. They planted 50 trees at five local schools for the Special Arbor Day on the 19th September 2015.
The NPO has seven board members led by Board Chairman, Mr Robert Matlala. There are 11 departments headed by 11 Heads of Departments and membership is made up of volunteers who signed volunteer forms serving in various departments. The projects of the NPO range from, primary health care, education support, skills development, sports, arts development, entrepreneur programmes, bursaries, scholarship, infrastructure development including safety and Security. 
The Foundation was formed on the 2nd June 2015 and was officially launched on 3rd October 2015 at Lebelo Primary School. The NPO has interest in restoration of basic services within the community and encouraging communities to take charge and ownership of development in the community. “This is done by instilling a sense of ownership and self-reliant on matters affecting the community,” Ms Mbewe said.
She said the foundation is passionate and excited about this initiative which consist of residents mostly youg adults who are equally affected by lack of development in the community. “The Foundation members have resolved to be the agents of change, some of them no longer reside in Ramotse and are involved to plough back to the community.
“Our main objective is to restore unity, dignity and pride to the community by conduction capacity training, supply food and clothing to the needy, arrange bursaries and career guidance for students, provide social development and conduct risk assessment at public building such as schools and pre-schools. “We want the community to be self-reliant after every empowerment or project completed,” Ms Mbewe said.
