Even though the City of Tshwane engaged in potholes repair in the streets of Hammanskraal Unit 7 last week, not all potholes were repaired.
The community is still concerned that the potholes have been dangerous for many years and the municipality has decided to repair only a quarter of the potholes which does not take away the danger and accidents the potholes could cause.
Taxi driver, Mr Charles Nkuta, said the idea is good but the implementation is very poor, the municipality would have outsourced this service from a business that knows well about this things for it to last longer, rather than doing it by themselves, this would not last longer, soon the potholes will arise again.
Another resident, Mr Amos Sibiya (55) said, “ When we want to appreciate and say the municipality is doing well and applaud them, they disappoint us, they should have repaired all these potholes,”
Residents were further concerned that the potholes will soon give in again due to the low quality of work done.
