The City Of Tshwane in partnership with Ritsako Lodge situated in Hammanskraal, hosted the World Choir Games international guests to celebrate the success of World Choir Games by giving them a first hand of South African cuisine.

Tshwane was chosen to host the 10th edition of the World Choir Games to celebrate the centenary of the founding father of the new South African, former President Nelson Mandela.

City of Tshwane Tourism Manger, Mr Msizi Myeza, said, the City chose Ritsako Lodge to give the international guest a South African feel.

“Ritsako is black owned and can offer a real South African vibe and food,” he said.

The visitors were treated to local marimba music while dining under candle light with chakalaka served with pap and vleis on the menu to get them on the mood of the African culture.

Those who preferred to get warmed up sat outside around the boom fire.

Marketing Manager at Ritsako, Ms Gwen Ncube, said the Lodge management is delighted to have been chosen to host the celebration of the World Choir Games.

“It was a great honor for the City of Tshwane to choose our four star luxury lodge to host some of their international guests for a true African experience.

“Ritsako offers luxury, tranquility and peace of mind amidst the free roaming Big Five.”

She encouraged locals from Hammanskraal and outside to take advantage of the Lodge to experience the beauty of nature.

Ritsako is a four star graded lodge.
