The murder of the missing man in Kanana has been confirmed by Temba Police.
Captain Lesebana, Spokesperson of Temba Police, said Mr Nkale was found dead in a bush next to Mathabe Village that side of Boosplaas in Hammanskraal.
“The police followed a tip off that led to a search by the K9 dog unit and a helicopter and the deceased was found in the bushes with a gun shot to the upper body.
“We can not confirm when he was killed, however a case of murder has been opened and our investigation will start from the day he went missing,” said Captain Lesebana.
Community members are requested to assist the police with any information that can lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
Anyone with information should call the police anonymous number 31122 or station number 012 717 9000 or 0800 10111
Yesterday a source confirmed that after Mr Nkale collected the workers, he dropped all of them and his disappearance started after he dropped the last one.
“Some community members said they saw the car speeding at some point and also saw who was driving it but do not know what happened after that.
The car was later found abandoned near bushes in Kanana by the car tracking company using a helicopter.
The source said it was concerning that the police had given the car back to the owner, the only crucial evidence in the matter.
The source further said it is believed there are people who have been arrested and others have since fled Kanana as they are suspects.
“We however feel that the police have been dragging their feet on this case from the onset,” said the source.
