Water supply was restored in Hammanskraal/Temba and surrounding areas today 19h00 onward.
City of Tshwane said in a statement that the water quality from the plant is eventually fine. The community must note that the water coming out of their taps will be dirty in the beginning as the water network pipes were also contaminated and are dirty but it will be fine as more flow goes out. The water networks will be scoured at the same time.
The City of Tshwane apologised for the inconvenience caused since last week when the Rooiwal Sewerage Plant cables were allegedly stolen leading to the sewerage contaminating the water supply in Hammanskraal.
