A man accused of attempted rape and assault became emotional during his court hearing at the Temba Magistrate Court and was afforded a few minutes to recover and get fresh air and water before the case hearing continued.
The accused, Mr Thabang Elias Mokoka, of Temba, is on trial for attempted rape and assault for an incident that took place on 10 September 2017. His case was postponed to give witnesses a chance to appear before the court.
Magistrate Lekwakwa postponed the case to 20 February due to the plea made by the defence, for witnesses to appear before the court.
He was given bail of R3000 and will remain in custody until the bail application is complete.
