Ramotse My Home Foundation is preparing for the 2017 fun run to raise funds for charity and to restore unity, dignity and pride to the community.
The fun run will be held on 22 April 2017 at the Barcelona Park in Rmotse/Hammanskraal starting from 06:00 in the morning.
The Foundation said they would like the community and business people to support this year’s event the same as previously.
“We strongly believe that even in 2017 we will continue to raise the bar and register high number of participants,” said Amaleah Mbewe, the public relations officer of the Foundation.
She encourage interested people to register on time, schools to help to encourage learners in numbers to participate and increase sponsor to help with water, energy drinks, light snacks for those who might need food in case of emergency and also government at local level to play a major part to ensure this event is a success.
Ramotse My Home Foundation has in the past arranged successful events to create a dialogue amongst community people members, bring enjoyment to the participants rather than competition, raise funds for charity programmes and encourage good health habits and brought medical test services for the community to know their body health condition.
The events were attended by all age groups and every participant received a medal and those who touched the finish line first were presented with trophies.
“In the past we managed to form relationships with various companies that offered services for free, such as Planet Fitness, Magalies Water, Ramotse Clinic, Red Cross and City of Tshwane (EMS).
“This year it will be bigger and better and we look forward to the community enjoying and benefit from this event,” Ms Mbewe said.
More information will be given closer to the event.
