Dinokeng Trust will benefit Hammanskraal community

Dinokeng game reserve launched a community Trust to benefit the people of Hammanskraal at an event held at Sebothoma Hall on Thursday 6 July 2017.

To make sure that all people fairly benefit from training, business and job opportunities, 16 trustees will be shortlisted among the community and from the game reserve.

The acting CEO of Dinokeng game reserve, MR John Nesidonge, said this project will fairly benefit the people of Hammanskraal.“This project is intended to benefit the community, the Trust will help us reach out to the communities”.

MR Nesidonge said various businesses within the game reserve continue to receive goods and services from the community and the number of black business ownership has increased from two in 2011 to 14.

Chief director of tourism of Cradle and Dinokeng project, Mr Matthew Sothege, said they will make sure that projects and business opportunities are received by the residents of Hammanskraal working hand-in-hand with the Trust.

A community member, Mr Standly Molawutsi, said “This will help the community of Hammanskraal to participate the Trust which will create job opportunities for us”

The 16 trustees will work with the game reserve to create access to available opportunities.
