Big Save Supermarket rewarded a 19‑year‑old local resident and her family with R2 000 worth of groceries after she entered the Facebook Moagisani competition, which the store runs as part of its community give‑back initiative.
The winner said she entered the Big Save Supermarket Moagisani competition after hearing it advertised on the radio.

Big Save Supermarket’s Marketing Manager, Ms Natalie Van Blerk, congratulated the winner on being the lucky recipient among hundreds of entrants. She told Moterele Times that the store identified a need to give back to the community through the Moagisani competition, which means “being neighbourly.” Each month, a lucky winner receives a R2 000 grocery pack.
“We are overwhelmed to be here today and present the lucky winner with a grocery pack that will ease their financial burden. This competition will run for as long as the sto

re is in this area, and we are also running it in our other seven stores in the country.
“Today, she becomes our sixth winner since the competition started five months ago,” said Ms Van Blerk.
Big Save Supermarket encouraged the community to continue entering the competition for a chance to win.
Children were excited to see the Big Save activation truck at the event.
