#TshwaneNYE17 Let’s Celebrate
The City of Tshwane will mark the end of 2017 with its annual free New Year’s Eve Countdown at the Caledonian Stadium in Arcadia Pretoria.
This is one of the events where the City celebrates the end of a successful year and bring communities together to give thanks for the support they have given the City’s administration and leadership. It also showcases the City’s rich culture of music and arts, promotes social cohesion among residents of the City as well as serving as a platform for developing artists to market themselves.
Last year, the event attracted thousands of party-goers from all over the city and province. Just like yesteryear, it is expected that this year’s Countdown will attract over ten thousand responsible pleasure seekers who will be entertained to live performances.
The people of Tshwane and its visitors can look forward to a live entertainment from afro-pop, hip hop, kwaito and house music performances that reflect the cosmopolitan mix which makes the City of Tshwane special.
The line-up includes Dr Malinga, Black Motion, Dj Maphorisa, A-Reece, Kwesta and many more developing artists from all the City’s seven regions. There will also be dazzling professional fireworks display when the New Year rings in.
This crossover party is going down at the Caledonian Stadium in Arcadia on Sunday, 31 December 2017 from 18h00 and ends at 06h00 on New Year’s Day and entry is free.
