Members of Temba SAPS together with community patrollers arrested fifteen people for dealing in dagga, possession of dagga, possession of counterfeit goods and dealing in liquor without a license.
Constable Herman Moremi of Corporate Communications SAPS Temba, said members reported for operational duties this morning under the command of Temba SAPS station commander Brigadier Martha Mokobori and few houses were searched around Ratjiepan, Mmotla, Eersterus, Stinkwater and Bosplaas.
“During the operation, dagga was found hidden inside houses, and three people were found selling counterfeit CD’s and a woman was found selling liquor without proper documentation at Bosplaas.
“The arrested suspects will appear in court in due course and those arrested for petty crimes were given a fine and released, Constable Moremi said.
The station commander, Brigadier Martha Mokobori, said: “those who are still dealing in drugs will face the might of the law and the police will never give them peace until we clean the area of Temba”.
She encourages the community to continue giving the police information about those who commit a crime and said: “Temba SAPS have dedicated members who are willing to serve, combat and protect our society”.
