Capitec Bank Hammanskraal Renbro spent the day yesterday with Perseverance Rural Development Centre (PRUDEC) to celebrate the annual Mandela Day.
Mr Levy Sithole, customer consultant at Capitec Bank said it was not an easy task for the staff members to go on outreach within the COVID-19 lockdown protocols but yet they managed to make it work.
“We felt the need to do something for children who lost their parents and do not have anyone to look up to so we decided to spend the day with these beautiful children,” he said.
The team engaged with the children and played games with them while keeping to the regulations of covid19.
Personalized face cloth masks, goodies, and clothes were donated to the children.
Center manager, Ms Minkie Mokubela, was delighted by the generous donation from the Capitec staff and said, “PRUDEC would like to thank the staff of Capitec Hammanskraal Renbro for the effort taken for the children, we are blessed to have you, may the Lord grant you more.
“We hope everyone could see this as an example by always remembering the needy because it takes a village to raise a child,” said Ms Mokubela.
