The Temba Police are looking for two men suspected of murder which occurred at Eersterus block C in Temba. The incident is alleged to have taken place at around 02:30 on the 22nd of September 2020.
It is alleged that two men broke a burglar door to gain entry and found a 54-year-old woman who was sleeping and demanded cash. When she said she has only R100, the men allegedly stabbed her several times on the upper body.
Sergeant Herman Moremi of Temba SAPS Corporate Communications said, the men took her cellphone and R100 and fled the scene.
The deceased was declared dead on the scene. A witness alleged that the perpetrators used a knife to stab the deceased.
The Station Commander of Temba SAPS, Brigadier Martha Mokobori, has ordered the urgent mobilization of maximum resources to ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are brought to book as a matter of priority.
