In a display of talent and determination, the young players from HTC triumphed at the Lacoste Trials held last Sunday. Competing against 130 athletes from across Gauteng, HTC players showcased their skills and commitment, resulting in an impressive 27 selections for the Lacoste team.
Mpho Makhoba, a representative from HTC, expressed pride in the athletes’ performance. “Our kids played their hearts out and truly embodied our slogan, ‘Re Tshela Thupa,’ Ms Makhoba stated. “Their hard work and dedication were evident throughout the trials.”
Only 50 players were selected for the competition, making HTC’s achievement even more noteworthy. The event not only highlighted individual talent but also highlighted the importance of teamwork and community support. Ms Makhoba extended thanks to the parents and coaches who rallied behind the players, emphasizing the collective effort that contributed to this success.
