The community of Hammanskraal marched to the Temba local police station to handover a memorandum of complaints in particular with the recent increase of abuse to Woman and Children.
Their cry was for the eradication of human trafficking and woman and children abuse in the community.
The organiser, Mr Bafana Phalane, of the Hands off Our Queen march said the purpose of the march was to give support to women who are being abused by men. He said the community can no longer bare the pain experienced by women and that is why the community marched to the Temba police station to ask for help to safe women and children.

“We saw it fitting to organise this March to show solidarity to our mothers and sisters who are victims of abuse. Enough is enough now, we cannot tolerate man who take the weakness of woman to their advantage by turning them into punching bags. I plea with our woman to cry out for help if they are abused to avoid killings that we have been seeing throughout the country lately,” Said Mr Phalane.
One of the victims of abuse, Ms Tshepiso Kgope, said she endured abuse for five years in her marriage and was afraid to cry out as her partner threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

“I was happily married until the abuse started emotionally then it escalated to physical abuse. I decided to report him as he was now showing signs of killing me. Woman must report to the police if they are being abused because they will end up being killed if they do not do so.” Said Ms Kgope.
Colonel Sarah Thale of Temba SAPS accepted the memorandum on behalf of the Station Commander and pleaded with the community to work with the police to help arrest perpetrators of woman and children abuse.
