Gauteng Premier David Makhura, with various MEC’s visited Hammanskraal, in Temba Drive Learner Testing Centre on Thursday 25th May to report on progress made in delivering government services and promise more development to the people of this community.
The purpose was to report on the issues raised by residents in his 2015 visit which are water, houses, heath and the issue of unemployment in the community.
“I am very happy to report that the government has tackle almost all the issues raised by the residents in 2015, especially the one of water and we are here to report that by the end of November the will be water in Hammanskraal” said Premier Makhura.
The premier promised a new hospital to be built and 1000 job of opportunities to be created at the Business Process Park (BPO) that is under contraction and will be opened in March 2018.

Ms Teboho Lethole (24), is one of the young people who hopes for a job next March, she said since 2012 when she completed her matric she never worked anywhere.
Another resident, Mr Mandla Sibanda, said the Premier has brought hope to them after seeing the new dam being built and he hopes young people will get the jobs promised.
Residents said they will hope for the better as they await promises to be fulfilled.
