The police are requesting members of the community who might be missing a family member to come forward and assist in identifying the body of a man aged between 30 to 40 that has been taken to the government mortuary after being found dead in the bushes at Bosplaas near Temba.
The man was discovered by a herdsman who was taking his cattle for grazing yesterday in the early hour’s of the morning near Tshwane River.
Constable Herman Moremi of the Temba police said the herdsman was scared to look after sensing a small and immediately rushed back to the village to ask for help and the police were informed.
Constable Moremi said when the police arrived at the scene they found a decomposed body of an unknown man who was wearing two trousers and a T-shirt. The cause of death is not known and it was also difficult to identify the body because of its decomposed status.
“There is a possibility the deceased had health problems and he fell and died while walking in the bushes, it also looks like it happened a few days ag,”said Constable Moremi.
A case of inquest has been opened for further investigation.
