The Hammanskraal West Divas team is in need of financial assistance to improve ladies soccer and also to sustain their team.
The team was founded in 2014 with the aim of keeping young girls away from the streets and also to reduce the risks of teenage pregnancy, drugs, and substance abuse.
It was founded by Sipho Sithole, Paul Selepe, Aubrey Ngobeni, and Ms Mpho Putula all from Hammanskraal.
” The reason we need sponsorship is that our team plays at ABSA League (SAFA TSHWANE REGIONAL LEAGUE) and we travel every two weeks in a month around Tshwane and transport becomes a big challenge for us since we pay from our own pockets,” said Mr Sithole.
He said their team experience many challenges since most of the players are from disadvantaged families.
“Most of our players cannot afford to pay for the soccer trips while some do not have soccer boots and use sneakers to play since they cannot afford to buy soccer boots.
“The only training equipment we have is cone makers and it is difficult to do full training since we have one kit for home and away,” he added.
Sponsors that might be willing to help can assist with, transport allowance, sports gear, training cones and soccer boots
