A 23- year old woman, Ms Granny Lerato Mabunda, of Hammanskraal has gone missing since 28 August 2020. She was last seen wearing a brown vest, blue jeans and grey slippers at the Hammanskraal Spar on the same date that she went missing.
She allegedly left home with her ex-boyfriend and she has not been seen since.
One of the cousins to Ms Mabunda, Ms Maikhitle Maimane, said the community went to Ms Mabunda’s ex-boyfriend to ask him about her whereabouts but it yielded no results.
The manager at Hammanskraal Spar says, he will assist with looking at the footage from inside the store, maybe they will have a clue of what happened exactly.
Victor Mainmane, the uncle to Ms Mabunda said the family has opened a case with case number 11/08/2020 at Temba police station, but the police are taking too long to respond.
The family is praying every day for the return of their child and asked the community to assist in any way possible for her return. The community is requested to use the numbers 084 673 0783 or 065 864 4355 with information that can lead to finding her.
Sergeant Herman Moremi of Corporate Communications SAPS TEMBA, said The case was reported three days after she went missing on the 28 August 2020 and was reported on 31 August 2020.
“Currently the search is still on, and police are compiling all evidence that can lead to the arrest of the suspect.
“The police have already searched the bushes with the dog units where the ex-boyfriend alleged that his car got stuck, and they found nothing.
“We also applied for cell phone information to check the movement of the suspect and the victim and we are waiting for the results.
